Jay BLOOM, Appellant, v. FTI CONSULTING, LLP, Respondent.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
On November 17, 2025, this court granted the motion to withdraw filed by appellant's counsel and ordered appellant to either (1) retain new counsel and cause new counsel to file a notice of appearance in this court, (2) file a motion for an extension of time to retain new counsel, or (3) inform this court, in writing, that he will be proceeding pro se by December 24, 2025. The order cautioned appellant that failure to comply may result in the dismissal of this appeal. When appellant failed to comply, this court entered an order on January 7, 2026, directing appellant to comply with the November 17, 2025, order within 14 days. On January 21, 2026, appellant's former counsel filed a motion for extension of time for appellant to comply with the November 17 order. Over the objection of respondent, this court extended the time to comply with the November 17 order on February 13, 2026. The order directed appellant to comply with the November 17 order within 14 days and warned appellant that failure to comply would result in the dismissal of this appeal. When appellant again failed to comply, respondent filed a motion to dismiss this appeal as abandoned on March 3, 2026. To date, appellant has failed to comply with the November 17 order or respond to respondent's motion. As it appears appellant has abandoned this appeal, respondent's motion is granted and this court
ORDERS this appeal DISMISSED.
