RICKIE HALL, Appellant, v. THE STATE OF NEVADA, Respondent.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
This is a pro se appeal from an order denying a postconviction petition for writ of habeas corpus. Second Judicial District Court, Washoe County; Scott N. Freeman, Judge.
This court's review of this appeal reveals a jurisdictional defect. Specifically, the district court entered the order and served the notice of entry of order on November 17, 2025. Appellant did not file the notice of appeal until February 17, 2026, however, well after the expiration of the 33-day appeal period prescribed by NRS 34.575, as extended by NRAP 26(c). Lozada v. State, 110 Nev. 349, 352, 871 P.2d 944, 946 (1994) (explaining that an untimely notice of appeal fails to vest jurisdiction in this court). Accordingly, this court
