Stephen CERVANTES, Appellant, v. Constantine PAVLAKIS, d/b/a Long Term Capital Partnership VI, LLC, Respondents.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
Appellant has filed an emergency motion for stay of eviction. However, review of the notice of appeal and documents before this court reveals a jurisdictional defect. Specifically, the underlying action arose in the justice court. The district court has final appellate jurisdiction over a case arising in the justice court, such that no appeal lies from the district court's order of affirmance. Nev. Const. art. 6, § 6; Waugh v. Casazza, 85 Nev. 520, 458 P.2d 359 (1969); see also Lippis v. Peters, 112 Nev. 1008, 1011, 921 P.2d 1248, 1250 (1996) (“[D]istrict courts have final appellate jurisdiction in all cases arising in justices’ courts, including summary eviction cases.”). Accordingly, this court lacks jurisdiction to consider this appeal, and we
ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.1
