JAMES MICHAEL LAITY, Appellant, v. TIA LAITY, Respondent.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
This appeal was docketed on October 9, 2025, without payment of the requisite filing fee. See NRAP 3(e). That same day, this court issued a notice directing appellant to pay the required filing fee or demonstrate compliance with NRAP 24 within 14 days. Later that same day, appellant filed a motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis with this court. Because such a motion must be filed in the district court in the first instance, see NRAP 24(a), on October 14, 2025, this court entered an order denying appellant's motion without prejudice and directing appellant to either file a motion to proceed in forma pauperis in the district court and to file a file-stamped copy of the motion in this court or to pay the filing file in this court within 30 days. To date, appellant has not paid the filing fee or otherwise responded to this court's October 14, 2025, order. Accordingly, this appeal is dismissed. See NRAP 3(a)(2).
It is so ORDERED.
