ALLANNA WARREN, Appellant, v. SOUTHWEST GAS CORPORATION; SOUTHWEST GAS HOLDINGS, INC.; “TED” WALKER; DEBRA WALKER; JOHN WALKER; TENANT WHO LIVES AT 268 BLUEFIELD DRIVE HENDERSON NV 89074; PARAGON UTILITY GROUP; AND LAS VEGAS METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT, Respondents.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
This is a pro se appeal from a final judgment of dismissal. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Joanna Kishner, Judge.
On March 24, 2025, this court granted appellant's motion for an extension of time to file and serve an opening brief or informal brief. On April 10, 2025, appellant filed an informal brief. However, on the same date, this court entered an order striking the informal brief because it was deficient. The order directed appellant to correct the deficiency and re-file the corrected opening brief within 14 days and cautioned that failure to comply would result in the dismissal of this appeal. On April 21, 2025, appellant re-filed the informal brief. The informal brief was still deficient and was stricken as deficient by order of this court entered April 24, 2025. The order directed appellant to correct the deficiency and re-file the informal brief with a proof of service that conformed with the rules within 14 days and again cautioned that failure to comply would result in the dismissal of this appeal. On May 8, 2025, appellant filed a response to the court's latest order striking her informal brief and what appeared to be a proof of service of the informal brief. The notice was construed as a motion for extension of time to file the informal brief and granted as such. The order directed appellant to file and serve, within 14 days, an informal brief for pro se parties and reminded appellant that the informal brief must be accompanied by proof of service on all respondents in compliance with NRAP 25(d). The order again cautioned appellant that failure to comply with the order could result in the dismissal of this appeal.
To date, appellant has failed to file the corrected opening brief or otherwise communicate with this court. Accordingly, it appears that appellant has abandoned this appeal and this court
