ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL

This is an appeal from a district court order denying a post-conviction petition for writ of habeas corpus. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Erika D. Ballou, Judge.

This court's review of this appeal reveals a jurisdictional defect. Specifically, the notice of appeal is untimely filed. The order denying a post-conviction petition for writ of habeas corpus was filed in district court on October 9, 2024. The notice of entry of order was mailed to appellant on October 14, 2024, however, the notice of appeal was not filed until January 28, 2025, well after the expiration of the 30-day appeal period prescribed by NRAP 4(b). Lozada v. State, 110 Nev. 349, 352, 871 P.2d 944, 946 (1994) (explaining that an untimely notice of appeal fails to vest jurisdiction in this court). Accordingly, this court lacks jurisdiction and
