ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL

This is an appeal from a district court order affirming a justice court order in a summary eviction case. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Jacob A. Reynolds, Judge.

This court's preliminary review of the documents before it reveals a jurisdictional defect. In particular, because “[t]he district court has final appellate jurisdiction in cases arising in the justice's court,” Waugh v. Casazza, 85 Nev. 520, 521, 458 P.2d 359, 360 (1969) (unlawful detainer action, citing Nev. Const, art. 6, § 6): see also Lippis v. Peters, 112 Nev. 1008, 1011, 921 P.2d 1248, 1250 (1996) (“[D]istrict courts have final appellate jurisdiction in all cases arising in justices' courts, including summary eviction cases.”), we lack jurisdiction over this appeal.
