Xiomara JIMENEZ, Appellant, v. Bianca VALDEZ, Respondent.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
On August 28, 2024, this court entered an order striking the opening brief and appendix to the opening brief because they were deficient. That order directed appellant to correct the deficiencies and re-file the opening brief and appendix within 14 days and cautioned that failure to comply would result in the dismissal of this appeal.
On September 11, 2024, appellant re-filed the opening brief and appendix. On September 16, 2024, this court entered an order striking the appendix because it was still deficient. The order directed appellant to correct the deficiencies and re-file an appendix that conformed with the rules by September 16, 2024. The order cautioned that failure to comply would result in the dismissal of this appeal.
Appellant did not timely file an appendix that conforms with the rules. Accordingly, this appeal is dismissed.
It is so ORDERED.1
FOOTNOTES
1. Respondent's motion to dismiss filed on Sept 17, 2024, is deficient because it does not leave adequate room in the upper right quadrant for this court's file-stamp, NRAP 27(d)(1)(B); it exceeds 10 pages in length and does not include a certificate of compliance indicating the word count for the motion, NRAP 27(d)(2); and it does not have margins of at least one inch on all four sides, NRAP 27(d)(1)(D). In light of this order, no action will be taken on the motion to dismiss. Respondent is cautioned that in the future, this court will strike documents that do not comply with this court's rules.
