ALLANNA WARREN, Appellant, v. DELUXE PROPERTY LV LLC, Respondent.
ORDER WAIVING FILING FEE AND DISMISSING APPEAL
This is an appeal from a district court order affirming an order of summary eviction issued by the Justice Court, Henderson Township. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Jacob A. Reynolds, Judge.
This appeal was docketed on May 10, 2024, without payment of the requisite filing fee. On that same day, this court issued a notice directing appellant to pay the filing fee or comply with NRAP 24 within 14 days. On May 20, 2024, appellant filed documents that demonstrate she was granted leave to proceed in forma pauperis in the justice court and her fees were waived in the district court. Accordingly, we conclude no filing fee is due in this matter.
Review of the documents submitted to this court pursuant to NRAP 3(g) reveals a jurisdictional defect. Specifically, the district courts have final appellate jurisdiction over cases arising in the justice courts. Nev. Const. art. 6, § 6; see also Waugh v. Casazza, 85 Nev. 520, 521, 458 P.2d 359, 360 (1969). Accordingly, this court lacks jurisdiction over this appeal, and therefore we
ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.
