MATTHEW TRAVIS HOUSTON, Appellant, v. BRIAN P. CLARK, Respondent.
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
This appeal was initiated by the filing of a pro se notice of appeal.
Our preliminary review of the documents before tins court reveals a jurisdictional defect. Specifically, there is no order or judgment designated in the notice of appeal. See NRAP 3A(b) (listing orders and judgments from which an appeal may be taken); Moran v. Bonneville Square Assocs., 117 Nev. 525, 527, 25 P.3d 898, 899 (2001) (“[T]he burden rests squarely upon the shoulders of a party seeking to invoke our jurisdiction to establish, to our satisfaction, that this court does in fact have jurisdiction.”). This court has jurisdiction to consider an appeal only when the appeal is authorized by statute or court rule. Brown v. MHC Stagecoach, LLC, 129 Nev. 343, 345, 301 P.3d 850, 851 (2013). Accordingly, we lack jurisdiction to consider this appeal, and we
ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.
