ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL

This is a pro se appeal from a district court order of dismissal. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Michael Villani, Judge.

Review of the notice of appeal and documents before this court reveals a jurisdictional defect. The notice of appeal was untimely filed. Notice of entry of the order of dismissal was served on appellant on August 17, 2023. Appellant was required to file his notice of appeal in the district court within 30 days after that service. See NRAP 4(a)(1). However, appellant did not file the notice of appeal in the district court until October 5, 2023, well after expiration of the 30-day appeal period. This court lacks jurisdiction over an untimely notice of appeal. Mealy v. Volkswagenwerk Aktiengesellschaft, 103 Nev. 329, 741 P.2d 432 (1987). Accordingly, we
