STATE of Missouri, Respondent, v. Stephen D. OVERFIELD, Appellant.
Order
Stephen Overfield appeals, following a bench trial, his conviction of the class A misdemeanor of fourth-degree domestic assault, § 565.076, for which he was sentenced to 365 days in the local jail; the execution of his sentence was suspended while he was placed on probation for a term of two years. Overfield raises a single claim on appeal; he argues that the trial court erred in failing to enter a judgment of acquittal because (1) Overfield was exempt from prosecution insofar as he was engaged in the reasonable exercise of parental discipline; and (2) after Overfield injected the issue of reasonable discipline, the State failed to prove that Overfield harbored an intent to cause harm to the victim. Finding no error, we affirm. Rule 30.25(b).
