STATE of Missouri, Respondent, v. Tymon D. REED, Appellant.
Order
Tymon Reed appeals, following a jury trial, his convictions of second-degree murder and armed criminal action, for which he was sentenced to concurrent terms of seventeen and three years' imprisonment, respectively. Reed raises three claims on appeal. First, he argues that the trial court plainly erred in failing to sua sponte instruct the jury on self-defense. Second, he claims that the trial court abused its discretion in overruling his Batson challenge to the State’s peremptory strike of venireperson number 27. And, third, he argues that the trial court abused its discretion in admitting into evidence Victim’s backpack and a photograph of Victim’s backpack insofar as these items were irrelevant and unduly prejudicial. Finding no error, we affirm. Rule 30.25(b).
