STATE of Missouri, Respondent, v. Michael Ray CARTNER, Appellant.
ORDER
Michael Cartner appeals from a judgment entered upon a jury verdict finding him guilty of one count of first-degree sodomy in violation of section 566.060, and one count of first-degree sexual abuse in violation of section 566.100. Cartner was sentenced to thirty years’ imprisonment on the sodomy count and fifteen years’ imprisonment on the sexual abuse count. On appeal, Cartner challenges the sufficiency of the evidence to support his convictions, and he argues the trial court erred in denying his motion for new trial on the basis that the State made a comment during its closing argument that improperly prejudiced the jury. For reasons stated in the memorandum provided to the parties, the judgment of the trial court is affirmed in accordance with Rule 30.25(b).
