JUDICIARY COMMISSION OF LOUISIANA
PER CURIAM
The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana (“Commission”) filed a Notice of Hearing against respondent, Justice of the Peace Chris J. Lemoine. The Notice of Hearing alleges that respondent was arrested for battery against a police officer and resisting arrest following a fire he started on his property and left unattended in violation of a burn ban. Respondent and the Commission now submit a joint petition for consent discipline in which respondent stipulated to the facts and admitted that his conduct violated the Code of Judicial Conduct and La. Const. art. V, § 25(C). Having reviewed the petition,
IT IS ORDERED that the Joint Petition for Consent Discipline be accepted and that Justice of the Peace Chris J. Lemoine, Ward 9, Parish of Avoyelles, State of Louisiana, be suspended from judicial office, without pay, for fifteen days.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Justice of the Peace Chris J. Lemoine be assessed with total costs of $839.00.
