ANDERSON v. LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND CORRECTIONS (2026)

Motion to enforce granted. Applicant avers that the Department of Public Safety and Corrections (“DPSC”) has not complied with the terms of their settlement agreement reached in December 2025. If applicant's representations are accurate, DPSC is hereby ordered to fully comply with the settlement terms, including but not limited to the provision specifying that applicant is entitled to reimbursement for all court costs incurred during the proceedings leading to the joint settlement. Further, if applicant's allegations are accurate, DPSC should issue him reimbursement of the full amount of court costs related to this case that were deducted from his inmate account(s) during the time period covered by the settlement, as can be discerned and verified through DPSC records. Thereafter, DPSC shall provide this Court with proof of compliance within 45 days of this order.

If applicant's representations are inaccurate and DPSC has already fully complied with the settlement terms, DPSC is ordered to provide the Court with proof of its compliance within 30 days of this order.
