STATE of Louisiana v. Donald G. BROOKS
Writ application granted in part. See per curiam.
ON SUPERVISORY WRITS TO THE FIRST JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT, PARISH OF CADDO
The Nineteenth Judicial District Court erred previously when it directed defendant to seek relief in the First Judicial District Court. See La.R.S. 15:571.15; see also State v. Brooks, 53,161 (La. App. 2 Cir. 8/8/19) (unpub'd) (finding that the First Judicial District Court did not err in rejecting defendant's claims because venue is in East Baton Rouge Parish). We grant defendant's application for the sole purpose of transferring it to the Nineteenth Judicial District Court to consider as an action contesting the computation of defendant's sentence, his discharge date, and his eligibility for parole.
