Shawn COOPER v. STATE of Louisiana THROUGH the LOUISIANA WORKFORCE COMMISSION and Corey Gaines
Writ denied.
I would grant and docket this application to examine whether the trial court had subject matter jurisdiction in this matter. See Holliday v. Board of Supervisors of LSU Agricultural and Mechanical College, 14-0585 (La. 10/15/14), 149 So. 3d 227 (Knoll, J.) (noting that “La. Const. art. 1 § 26 makes it clear the State has not waived its sovereignty within the federal system”).
Crichton, J., would grant and assigns reasons. Crain, J., recused.
