Jeff HUGHES v. CAPITAL CITY PRESS, L.L.C. d/b/a the Advocate
Granted in part. Considering the unique circumstances of this case, the district court did not err in denying relator's exception. However, the judgment of the district court is amended to provide plaintiff's defamation claim against relator will not be ripe for adjudication until after trial on the main demand has concluded. See e.g., Bennett v. DEMCO Energy Services, LLC, 23-1358 (La. 5/10/24), 386 So. 3d 270; Suire v. Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government, 04-1459, 04-1460, 04-1466 (La. 4/12/05), 907 So. 2d 37. The case is remanded to the district court for further proceedings.
