SUPREME COURT OF LOUISIANA
NO. 2025-OB-0627
IN RE: DONALD R. DOBBINS
ON APPLICATION FOR REINSTATEMENT
PER CURIAM
Petitioner, Donald R. Dobbins, was suspended from the practice of law in Louisiana. In re: Dobbins, 19-1346 (La. 1/29/20), 340 So. 3d 601; In re: Dobbins, 20-1403 (La. 5/13/21), 320 So. 3d 1016. Upon completing the term of his suspension, respondent filed an application for reinstatement. The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (“ODC”) filed a notice concurring in petitioner's reinstatement subject to the following provisions: (1) petitioner fully comply with the conditions of the two-year agreement he executed with the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program (“JLAP”) on April 29, 2025; and (2) JLAP be allowed to report to the ODC at least on a quarterly basis, on petitioner's compliance with the monitoring contract. The disciplinary board's adjudicative committee chair recommended the petition be granted.
After considering the record, we will accept the recommendation and reinstate petitioner to the practice of law, subject to the conditions set forth in the ODC's notice of concurrence.
DECREE
Upon review of the recommendation of the disciplinary board's adjudicative committee chair, and considering the record, it is ordered that Donald R. Dobbins, Louisiana Bar Roll number 20537, be immediately reinstated to the practice of law in Louisiana, subject to the requirement that he fully comply with the conditions of his April 29, 2025 JLAP contract. It is further ordered JLAP shall file a report with the ODC detailing petitioner's compliance with the monitoring contract on at least a quarterly basis during the term of the contract. The ODC shall promptly report any violations of the contract to this court. All costs of these proceedings are assessed against petitioner.
