STATE OF LOUISIANA v. TRAVIS SHELVIN (2023)

I would grant this writ in part as follows. If the record contains polling slips, the district court is ordered to provide copies of the sealed jury polling slips to the defendant with the jurors’ names redacted. The defendant shall not be informed of the names of the jurors, and the original polling slips shall be maintained under seal. See La. C.Cr.P. art. 812. In all other respects, I would deny this writ.
