STATE OF LOUISIANA v. VIDOL POLLARD
WRIT DENIED
Relator, Vidol Pollard, filed a pleading entitled “Alternative Mandamus/Mand[a]tory Injunction” in which he complains that the district court has failed to comply with this Court's order in 2026-K-0450 directing that it act upon his “Motion to Correct an Illegal Sentence Pursuant to Louisiana Revised [Statutes] Art. 881.5; and Art. 882.” See State v. Pollard, 2026-0450 (La. App. 4 Cir. 7/16/26). Contrary to relator's assertion, the district court acted on the pleading as reflected by a minute entry dated August 28, 2026, providing in pertinent part that it had “no jurisdiction on the request from the defendant in this matter.” Accordingly, this writ is denied as moot.
New Orleans, Louisiana this 1st day of October, 2026.
