STATE OF LOUISIANA v. JARVIS TURNER
ON APPLICATION FOR REHEARING
We grant the application for rehearing filed by the respondent, State of Louisiana, to modify our September 8, 2017 decision that granted in part the writ application for post-conviction relief of the relator, Jarvis Turner.
Rehearing in this matter is granted for the limited purpose of allowing the State the opportunity to file procedural objections or a response on the merits pursuant to La. C.Cr.P. art. 927. Accordingly, the October 20, 2017 evidentiary hearing is stayed pending the district court's disposition of the State's procedural objections or response on the merits.
Judge Marion F. Edwards, Pro Tempore
