IN RE: Felix O'Neill RIPPY, Respondent

Supreme Court Case No. 49S00–1608–DI–456

Decided: February 15, 2018

Published Order Granting Release from Disciplinary Probation

On October 7, 2016, this Court issued an order imposing reciprocal discipline on Respondent. On November 22, 2016, we issued an order modifying Respondent's reciprocal discipline as follows: “Effective October 7, 2016, Respondent is suspended from the practice of law in Indiana for a period of eighteen (18) months, all stayed subject to completion of eighteen (18) months of probation pursuant to the terms of Respondent's probation in Texas as determined by that jurisdiction.”

On January 3, 2018, Respondent filed a verified petition requesting, among other things, that his Indiana probation be terminated. The Commission filed a response indicating, among other things, that it has verified Respondent's successful completion of his Texas probation and does not object to termination of Respondent's probationary status in Indiana.

Being duly advised, the Court GRANTS in part Respondent's petition and ORDERS that Respondent's disciplinary probation is terminated.

To the extent Respondent's verified petition requests relief in addition to the termination of his probationary status in Indiana, the Court DENIES Respondent's petition.

All Justices concur.
