IN RE: the Hon. Dale W. ARNETT, Judge of Randolph Superior Court
Published Order Suspending Judicial Officer
On August 5, 2025, the Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications (“Commission”) filed a “Notice of the Institution of Formal Proceedings and Statement of Charges” and a “Verified Petition for Interim Suspension” against Respondent, the Hon. Dale W. Arnett, judge of the Randolph Superior Court. On August 20, 2025, Respondent filed a response to the Commission's suspension request, noting he wished to remain cooperative and therefore did not object to an interim suspension with pay.
Indiana Admission and Discipline Rule 25(V)(E) provides in relevant part:
Upon petition by the Commission, the Supreme Court may impose, pending the disposition of formal charges, an interim suspension with pay if the Court deems the interim suspension necessary to protect public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary.
Having considered the Commission's Verified Petition for Interim Suspension and Respondent's response, the Court hereby GRANTS the Verified Petition. Accordingly, Judge Dale W. Arnett is hereby SUSPENDED WITH PAY effective 12:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2025. This suspension will continue in effect until further order of the Court.
