TARVAL WEBSTER, Petitioner-Appellant, v. STATE OF HAWAI‘I, Respondent-Appellee.
DISSENT
For the reasons stated by Justice Wilson in his dissenting opinion in State v. Vaden, SCWC-20-0000481 (Haw. March 15, 2023) (Wilson, J., dissenting), which I joined, I respectfully dissent. For the reasons stated therein, State v. Tauiliili, 96 Hawai‘i 195, 29 P.3d 914 (2001), was wrongly decided and should be overruled. The defendant should receive presentence detention credit from each of his consecutive sentences.
