THE FLORIDA BAR, Complainant, v. CONNIE JANETTE PIERCE, Respondent.
PUBLIC REPRIMAND
Ms. Pierce, you are here today because you were found to be in violation of Rules 3-4.3 (Misconduct and Minor Misconduct), rule 4-4.2 (Communication with Person Represented by Counsel), 4-1.1 (Competence), 4-8.4(a) (Violate or Attempt to Violate the Rules of Professional Conduct), and 4- 8.4(d) (Conduct Prejudicial to the Administration of Justice) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
You are here today under order of the Supreme Court of Florida, which approved the Report of Referee that was docketed with the Court on April 20, 2026.
Ms. Pierce, your conduct showed a lack of appreciation for the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar and the ramifications that result from the violation of those rules. This lack of appreciation has tarnished your personal reputation and has undermined faith in the legal profession. Such conduct can erode public confidence in both the profession and the legal system. Such conduct will not be tolerated.
This REPRIMAND is now a part of your permanent Florida Bar record. You are further advised that while this REPRIMAND does not affect your privilege of practicing law; however, further misconduct will. Myself, the lawyers of Florida and the Florida Supreme Court expect your future conduct to always be in compliance with the oath you swore to uphold and trust that will be the case for the length of your career.
DONE AND ADMINISTERED this 15 day of May 2026.
Judge Kurt E. Hitzemann, Referee
