Marhlau Belizaire appeals the trial court's order striking his petition for writ of mandamus, which was filed in the trial court. He argues that the trial court lacked jurisdiction to strike a petition filed before this Court. The trial court struck the petition filed before it because it was legally insufficient to support the relief sought, and we discern no error in the trial court's order. As such, we affirm the order.

We write briefly, however, because despite Belizaire's arguments in his initial brief that the petition was filed before this Court, this Court has no record of any such filing. Our ruling is without prejudice to Belizaire filing a proper petition before this Court.

Affirmed.
