Affirmed. See Reynolds v. State, 674 So. 2d 180, 180 (Fla. 2d DCA 1996) (“The statute requires that either the conviction or the release from prison for the last prior felony occur within five years of the date of the commission of the new felony.”) (emphasis added); § 775.084(1)(a)(2)(b), Fla. Stat. (2019) (“ ‘Habitual felony offender’ means a defendant for whom the court may impose an extended term of imprisonment ․ if it finds that: ․ The felony for which the defendant is to be sentenced was committed: ․ [w]ithin [five] years of the date of the conviction of the defendant’s last prior felony or other qualified offense, or within [five] years of the defendant’s release from a prison sentence, probation, community control, control release, conditional release, parole or court-ordered or lawfully imposed supervision or other sentence that is imposed as a result of a prior conviction for a felony or other qualified offense, whichever is later.”) (emphasis added).
