Petitioner's petition for a writ prohibiting Judge Mary C. Evans from presiding further in circuit court case number 19-279-DR is granted as the petitioner's motion to disqualify the judge filed in the circuit court is deemed legally sufficient. See State v. Dixon, 217 So. 3d 1115, 1123 (Fla. 3d DCA 2017) (H[A] a judge's announced policy or predisposition to rule in a particular manner is grounds for disqualification.”). Accordingly, the chief judge shall immediately appoint a successor judge pursuant to Florida Rule of Judicial Administration 2.215(b)(4).
Respondent's “motion of conflict of council [sic]” is denied.
