Stephanie Renee DANFORTH, Appellant, v. Kevin Ray DANFORTH, Appellee.
To the extent this appeal attempts to challenge the final judgment of dissolution of marriage, it is dismissed for lack of jurisdiction because the notice of appeal was not timely filed.1 See Fla. R. App. P. 9.110(b). To the extent this appeal challenges the successor judge's denial of the motion for reconsideration of the predecessor judge's order denying Appellant's motion for relief from the final judgment, we affirm the successor court's ruling without further discussion.2
AFFIRMED.
FOOTNOTES
1. This Court previously dismissed Appellant's appeal from the final judgment for lack of jurisdiction because the notice of appeal was not timely filed. Danforth v. Danforth, No. 6D23-207, 2023 WL 2195001, at *1 (Fla. 6th DCA Feb. 24, 2023). Similar to the law of the case doctrine that precludes a second appeal on a question determined in the first appeal, Strazzulla v. Hendrick, 177 So. 2d 1, 4 (Fla. 1965), a dismissal for lack of jurisdiction is the final word on the topic.
2. This case was transferred from the Second District Court of Appeal to this Court on January 1, 2023.
PER CURIAM.
STARGEL, WOZNIAK and MIZE, JJ., concur.
