STATE of Florida, Appellant, v. Stephanie TOMPKINS, Appellee.
In this companion case to State v. Hickman, No. 6D23-431, ––– So.3d ––––, 2023 WL 2053917 (Fla. 6th DCA Feb. 17, 2023), the State challenges an order granting Stephanie Tompkins’ motion to suppress.1 Tompkins and Hickman were co-defendants who each filed nearly identical motions to suppress narcotics seized following an encounter with law enforcement. A joint hearing was held as to their respective motions, and the trial court issued a joint ruling granting the motions to suppress. We reverse and remand for further proceedings consistent with this Court's opinion in Hickman.
REVERSED and REMANDED for further proceedings.
