Lizzie McNair et al. v. Corley Shannon
ORDER RE GUARDIAN AD LITEM
The court, after due notice, held a hearing this date at which all parties were represented and heard on the issue of whether or not to appoint a guardian ad litem for the minor child who is at the center of this matter involving establishment of paternity. Giving careful consideration to the views and arguments expressed and taking into account the evidence adduced at the previous hearing, pursuant to the authority given in Section 45a–132 of the General Statutes, in the exercise of discretion, the court appoints Kelly Babbit of Norwich, Connecticut, as guardian ad litem, for the minor child Bryce McNair for the purpose of informing the court as to the interests of the said minor in the instant matter. The said guardian is granted access to the transcript of the hearing held on October 23, 2013, and the contents of the public filings in the case. The court will request a report from said guardian within 30 days of this date to be served upon the parties and filed with the clerk of court. Thereafter each of the parties shall have 15 days from receipt of said Report to respond in writing if they desire to do so.
