Else Schulze v. Patricia McGrath et al.
MEMORANDUM OF DECISION
This matter was heard at a Hearing in Damages after the defendants were defaulted for failure to appear, and a default judgment was against the defendant.
The evidence established the plaintiff is a registered nurse employed by Connecticut Hospice. On June 16, 2011 she sustained injuries by a German Shepard dog which attacked her while she was in the care of her employment. The plaintiff was on the property of the defendant to provide care to the defendant Patricia McGrath. The dog caused her injuries by biting her face, head, right arm and left buttock. As a result of the injuries the plaintiff also claims she has panic attacks, and also exacerbation of esophageal reflux and gastritis conditions. Plaintiff alleges she incurred medical bills for $3,984.54.
The intervening plaintiff Connecticut Hospice, Inc. of $1,030.70 as reimbursement for any sum awarded to the plaintiff in this matter.
Judgment is entered for the sum of $43,984. The plaintiff on receipt of that sum is ordered to reimburse Connecticut Hospice, Inc. in the amount of $1,030.70.
