Carlos Ortiz v. Chapter 2, LLC dba Humphrey's Grille & Bar et al.
MEMORANDUM OF DECISION
Plaintiff was a passenger in a vehicle operated by Channing Taylor Cooney who plaintiff alleges was intoxicated when served drinks by the defendants. The plaintiff was injured in an accident as a result of negligence and intoxication of the operator. The defendants failed to defend this action, and a default judgment was entered against the defendants.
At a hearing in damages it was proven that plaintiff sustained a pelvis fracture and injuries to his left knee and permanent disability and pain and suffering as well as lost earnings.
Judgment is entered for the sum of $200,000.00.
