MEMORANDUM OF DECISION

This matter came before this court as a hearing in damages as a result of the defendant's failure to appear or to defend this action.

Plaintiff alleges she was injured on the property of the defendant located at 677 Washington Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut. Plaintiff claims she sustained personal injuries and medical expenses as a result of the negligence of the defendant relating to the defective condition of the stairs on the property.

As a result of the injuries to the leg and back she incurred medical expenses of $1,905.00 for treatment of the injuries.

Judgment is entered for the sum of $10,000.00 plus costs.
