The plaintiff has commenced this action against the defendant Hammer Jaks, LLC, a night club located at 201 Crown Street, New Haven, Connecticut, and its permittee Anthony A. Delmonaco. Plaintiff alleges on September 20, 2008 at approximately one a.m. that he was assaulted and attacked by an unidentified male patron who stabbed and cut the plaintiff with a knife or box cutter. Plaintiff claims the resulting injuries and losses were due to the defendant's failure to protect him as a business invitee patron in the premises.
As a result of the assault the plaintiff incurred medical expenses of $25,875.44 and a loss of work for a period of time. He also has permanent conditions and scarring from the wound.
Judgment is entered for $150,000.00.
