MEMORANDUM OF DECISION ON MOTIONS FOR ATTORNEY FEES

Before the court are motions for attorneys fees filed by both parties.

Ms. Dowling's motion, dated April 27, 2011, bears file # 136.   Mr. Szymczak's motion, dated May 6, 2011, bears file number # 137.

In a companion case captioned “Lauren Dowling v. Luke Szymczak ” bearing docket number FA 094110328 S and pending in this judicial district, this court has today denied a motion for attorneys fees filed therein by Ms. Dowling.   For the reasons set forth in the Memorandum of Decision in that action, motion # 136 is also denied.

The court has examined Mr. Szymczak's motion.   In consideration of the factors set forth in Conn. Gen.Stat. §§ 46b–62 and 82, in light of the evidence presented in the companion matter, and in light of Ms. Dowling's objection to its late filing, motion # 137 is denied.

Other than accepting an agreement of the parties on March 31, this court has not had the opportunity to observe the performance of counsel in this case.   The decisions set forth herein, therefore, should not be interpreted as a negative reflection upon the value or quality of the services for which these fees are sought.
