State of Connecticut Commissioner of Social Services v. 915 Ella T. Grasso Boulevard Operations, LLC dba University Skilled Nursing
MOTION TO CLOSE GRANTED
A hearing on the motion to close the above four receivership facilities dated March 10, 2011, heard on March 22, 2011, continued to April 21, 2011, at which time a facilities hearing was held. It appears that the receiver having sought facility purchase proposals as required by General Statutes § 19a–545, and having reported some interested parties to the court, reaffirmed her lack of viability report for each of the four facilities as set forth in her report of March 10, 2011, called attention to the large expense paid by the State to keep these facilities open, and the availability of sufficient beds in the vicinity of each of the facilities to accommodate any residents displaced by the closing of the facilities, reaffirmed her motion to closing the four facilities which was supported by representatives by the State of Connecticut.
The receiver is ordered to close the four defendant facilities and to make arrangements for the orderly transfer of residents pursuant to General Statutes subsection (a) § 19a–545.
