Jessica Keyes v. Daniel Vazquez
MEMORANDUM OF DECISION
The plaintiff mother and the defendant father have a child in common. The child now resides in North Carolina with the plaintiff mother and the defendant father resides in Middletown. The defendant father filed a motion for modification of the existing visitation and custody orders. A hearing was held on April 18, 2011, at which both parties appeared and represented themselves, also present was the guardian ad litem who was appointed during the earlier litigation. This court has reviewed all the applicable statutes and case law, and after listening carefully to the testimony, finds that the defendant has failed to persuade this court that there has been a substantial change in circumstances or that a modification of the existing orders would be in the best interests of the child.
