MEMORANDUM OF DECISION ON MOTION TO STRIKE SPECIAL DEFENSES AND COUNTERCLAIM

This is an action based on a foreign judgment.   It is concluded that:

1.  Defense of Laches is insufficient.

2. Return of Service indicates that service on defendant was proper.

3. Counterclaim as alleged is insufficient as it does not state the elements of a cause of action.

Defendant failed to appear at short calendar on March 14, 2011.   See Practice Book § 11–18(d).

Motion to strike granted.
