Jane Doe et al. v. Alan Shulik
MEMORANDUM OF DECISION
The defendant, Alan Shulik, has moved to stay discovery in this civil proceeding for 120 days because of his pending criminal case, which arises from the same set of facts. This court has carefully reviewed the arguments of both parties, the applicable case law and weighed all of the factors at issue. See Wicox v. Webster Ins., Superior Court, judicial district of New Haven, Docket No. CV 07 5010093 (January 11, 2008, Bellis, J.) (44 Conn. L. Rptr. 786). This court orders that all discovery by either side in this civil case will be stayed for 120 days. If the defendant's criminal case is resolved prior to that time, the defendant will immediately notify the plaintiff and this court so that the stay may be lifted.
