Patricia Longo v. Richard Longo
ORDER
The defendant has a long history of failing to pay court orders dating back to the commencement of this action in December of 2000. Numerous motions for contempt have been filed. The recent motion for contempt dated August 4, 2010 alleges an arrearage of $74,362.00 for child support, $39,799.00 for day care expenses and $3,750.00 for unreimbursed medical/dental expenses. He has failed to abide by the court's order to maintain life and auto insurance. Defendant simply claims he has no money to pay same and pursuant to his financial affidavit claims he makes $580.00 per week. He works for an insurance agency. This is a staggering amount of arrearage and the plaintiff has been painstakingly patient.
The Court orders that the defendant apply for additional employment commensurate with his talent and provide proof of his search for such employment when the court next hears plaintiff's motion for contempt on October 21, 2010, when the court shall consider sanctions.
