Tama Hansen v. Jayne Gary
MEMORANDUM OF DECISION
The plaintiff presented evidence at a hearing in damages, after a default by the defendant in the above matter.
The plaintiff was injured on June 27, 2007 while descending the rear exterior stairway at 113 Bristol Street, New Haven, Connecticut. The second step from the top was in a defective condition and it broke off and caused injuries to plaintiff's left knee and back.
As a result of the injuries plaintiff incurred medical expenses of $4,769.95, and claimed a loss of earnings of approximately $11,000.000 for total economic damages of $15,769.95. She also sustained a permanent disability of 7% impairment of her lower extremity and 2.5% of her lumbar spine which will impair her future living activities.
Based upon the evidence presented at this hearing in damage judgment shall enter for the plaintiff for the sum of $35,769.95.
