Larry Banks v. Yale University
MEMORANDUM OF DECISION
This is an action brought by the plaintiff Larry Banks against the defendant Yale University alleging that the defendant discriminated against him when his employment was terminated because he is African-American and that he previously filed a complaint of discrimination before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities against Yale. There is not a scintilla of evidence that the plaintiff was terminated for either of these reasons. Rather, he was terminated because of a history of misconduct which culminated on July 3, 2007 when there was a verbal altercation which was preceded by other misconduct which led to three written warnings and a suspension.
The Court finds there is no merit to this case, enters judgment in favor of the defendant Yale University and orders the plaintiff to pay to the defendant its taxable costs.
