Harbor Landing Condominium Association, Inc. v. Patricia Nicolari
MEMORANDUM OF DECISION RE ATTORNEYS FEES
The plaintiff, Harbor Landing Condominium seeks recovery of its attorneys fees in the amount of $56,375 in the “cat urine” case in which it recovered $9,035.00.1 If this seems grossly outrageous and unreasonable to the reader-it is! Under the circumstances of this case, the court will not award any attorneys fees. Buccino v. Cable Technology Inc., 25 Conn.App. 676, 679 (1991).
The defendant also seeks her attorneys fees. Although the court is of the opinion that equitably she should be awarded the attorneys fees she incurred, the court is unable to do so. Practice Book Section 11-21 provides the following. “Motions for attorneys fees shall be filed with the trial court within thirty days following the date on which the final judgment of the trial court was rendered.” The motion was not filed within thirty days.
