ORDER OF AFFIRMANCE

Ramses O. Zamarron-Estrada appeals from a district court order denying a postconviction petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed on May 5, 2025. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Hon. Erika L. Mendoza, Judge.

Zamarron-Estrada filed his petition more than one year after entry of the judgment of conviction on April 17, 2024.¹ Thus, Zamarron-Estrada's petition was untimely filed. See NRS 34.726(1). Zamarron-Estrada's petition was procedurally barred absent a demonstration of good cause—cause for the delay and undue prejudice. See id. Zamarron-Estrada failed to allege good cause in his petition to overcome the procedural time bar; therefore, we conclude the district court did not err by denying the petition as procedurally time barred. See State v. Eighth Jud. Dist. Ct. (Riker), 121 Nev. 225, 231, 112 P.3d 1070, 1074 (2005) (holding that application of the procedural bars is mandatory). Accordingly, we

ORDER the judgment of the district court AFFIRMED.²
