ORDER OF AFFIRMANCE

Antonio Alejandro Castaneda appeals from an order of the district court denying a ‘‘motion to vacate illegal sentence'’ filed on October 27, 2022. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Jacqueline M. Bluth, Judge.

In his motion, Castaneda alleged the State improperly charged him and that the errors constituted a mistake that worked to his detriment. Castaneda's claims challenged the validity of his judgment of conviction and were thus outside the scope of claims permissible in a motion to modify or correct an illegal sentence. See Edwards v. State, 112 Nev. 704, 708, 918 P.2d 321, 324 (1996). Therefore, without considering the merits of these claims, we conclude the district court did not err by denying them. Accordingly, we

ORDER the judgment of the district court AFFIRMED.¹
