Craig Leonard JOHNSON, Appellant, v. The STATE of Nevada, Respondent.
ORDER OF AFFIRMANCE
Johnson argues the district court erred by denying his October 28. 2020, motion. In his motion, Johnson requested the district court to reduce his sentence in light of recent amendments to NRS 453.3385. See 2019 Nev. Stat., ch. 633, § 119, at 4474. Johnson's claim fell outside the narrow scope of claims permissible in a motion to modify sentence. See Edwards v. State, 112 Nev. 704, 708, 918 P.2d 321, 324 (1996). Therefore, without considering the merits of Johnson's claim, we conclude the district court did not err by denying the motion. Accordingly, we
ORDER the judgment of the district court AFFIRMED.1
FOOTNOTES
1. We conclude the district court did not err by declining to appoint counsel to represent Johnson.
