CAMERON J. HICKMON AND CHELSEA A. HICKMON, Appellants, v. BMF IV 3055 LAS VEGAS, LLC VERRASO APARTMENTS, Respondent.1
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
Cameron J. Hickmon and Chelsea A. Hickmon appeal from a district court judgment on an arbitration award following a court-annexed arbitration. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Jessica K. Peterson, Judge.
Our review of the documents before this court reveals a jurisdictional defect. This court has jurisdiction to consider an appeal only when the appeal is authorized by statute or court rule. See Brown v. MHC Stagecoach, LLC, 129 Nev. 343, 345, 301 P.3d 850, 851 (2013). However, NAR 19(b) provides that no appeal may be taken from a judgment entered on an arbitration award rendered in court-annexed arbitration when a trial de novo is not sought. The Hickmons failed to request a trial de novo. Thus, NAR 19(b) precludes this court from exercising jurisdiction over this appeal. The district court entered judgment, and such a judgment “may not be appealed.” NAR 19(b).
Therefore, we
ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.
